I graduated from the University of Westminster in 2008 and have since been a full time practicing Medical Herbalist.

Supporting my interest in traditional medicinal plant uses with recent scientific research, I aim to educate people about their health and lifestyle choices enabling them to take responsibilities about their own health ideally in a fun and realistically achievable way. Safe and gentle yet effective herbal and dietary approaches are my main tools, emotional aspects of the individual are also included, if appropriate.

Referrals from other health professionals have been welcomed. I am fully insured through Balens Ltd, have an enhanced DBS check & hold a safeguarding children awareness certificate.

What I deeply enjoy is working with people of all walks of life, multifaceted people celebrating diversity of humanity:

At Strawberry Hill House, Twickenham, as part of a great team of therapists, we piloted the ‘Feel good garden project‘, offering natural support & joy to vulnerable people, such as:

  • Carers in need of a break from relentless care for their loved ones, some individuals have become regular volunteers at the community garden
  • Women from ethnic minorities, their sense of humour & generosity was second to none, we learned so much from one another
  • Individuals suffering from initial stages of Dementia, an ongoing, humbling, much needed project with no funding (government or other), as to date

The Feel Good Garden is a hub for a variety of groups making visits to Strawberry Hill. It’s inspired by the philosophy of the Thrive organisation, which promotes horticulture as a therapeutic activity for those living with disabilities or ill health, or are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable. To balance my work which mainly deals with chronic conditions, I joined the Medical Herbalists in 2016. A group of herbalists dealing with Acute Herbal First Aid, in UK festival settings.

A FREC3 certificate (first response emergency care level 3), conventional first aid, was a prerequisite.

Since many years I wholeheartedly support the Cathja project, a mental health charity offering immense creative fun in a welcoming and safe environment on Cathja, a beautiful fully accessible barge in Old Isleworth www.cathja.org
